The Fullerton Hotel Sydney

Offered an upgrade to Premium Tower King, lovely room on Level 16 directly opposite the GPO Clock Tower, Fabulous full face view of the Clock Tower and Big Brother Clock. Did the Heritage tour of the building which was very interesting and informative, learnt so much about the importance and history of the building providing not only postal services but telegraph and later telephone services Handy to light rail for Circular Quay, Town Hall, QVB shopping, the hotel houses a bar and restaurant and car parking is available.

Excellent hotel with top location. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The view of the clock tower from our room was amazing.

The room was very spacious, with a number of lounge chairs in the room , my booking included breakfast and it had a wife selection of food, I can recommend the Fullerton signature omelette with sun dried tomatoes, feta and mushrooms, nice coffee pod machine, complimentary water, it wasn’t easy ti find local channels on the television and the access to wifi wasn’t intuitive, there were no instructions in the room to log on either

The room was large, clean and comfortable. Great soundproofing as well and we didn't hear any traffic sounds even though we were right in the city centre and Sydney is a very crowded city with lots of traffic. Location of the hotel was also fantastic being right in the heart of city so it was easy to walk to most places of attractions, shops, cafes and restaurants. Or you can take the trams and buses which are within minutes. The hotel, which is in the old GPO building has preserved the history of this amazing building and offers free guided tours for not just hotel guests but anyone who is interested. The 1.5hr tour was so fascinating and informative - we learnt so much about the history of the GPO, its construction over the years, the people involved in the building and those who worked in the GPO. Thoroughly recommend the GPO tour as a must-do activity! There is a little cafe - Two Penny Coffee right outside the front lobby of the hotel which served one of the best coffees and had yummy breakfast rolls, frittata and other baked items. Great to have this convenience! And a beautiful luxed up Latin American restaurant in the hotel called Morena - amazing food, service and atmosphere - a must-eat dining experience. And if anyone wants to indulge in a spa treatment, Endota spa is also within the hotel building for a lovely experience.

Such a large and really beautiful room, with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. My room was opposite the clock, I was slightly sceptical as to how quiet that would be, but it wasn't a nuisance and was so lovely to look at, especially when lit up at night time. Staff were really lovely and housekeeping services were excellent - the room was very clean and they kindly noticed which type of coffee pods I was using, and left more of these which was appreciated. The staff are very welcoming, they acknowledge you as you come and go, and are helpful if you have any queries. The staff on the concierge service were great, and those in charge of the cars/drive/bags also. The location was very good - a ten minute walk down to Circular Quay. And most of the other key attractions are only a short walk away as well.
